The Silk Road was an ancient network of trade routes connecting China and the West.
它始于西汉时期,由外交官张骞开辟。
It originated in the Western Han dynasty, opened up by the diplomat Zhang Qian.
商队把丝绸、瓷器和茶叶从长安运往西方。
Caravans transported silk, porcelain, and tea from Chang'an westward.
